We feel it is very important that you and your pet see the same vet at each visit. You can rest assured that although we are part of a large group the Animal Hospital has its own permanent veterinary staff. This will allow you and your pet to build a strong relationship with your vet. The advantage of being part of the larger group means that there is a huge range of expertise that your vet can call on if they feel your pet needs it. Here are the veterinary staff at the Animal Hospital.

Nick Stuart
Nick qualified from Edinburgh Vet School in 1982. He then worked in various practices including one in Wooton-Under-Edge. He was possibly the first vet in the UK to be directly employed by a farm: enduring several extremes winters in the process in Aberdeenshire. Nick returned to the South West in when he joined Vale Vets.

Carol Wright
Carol qualified from Bristol Vet School. She then worked in a mixed practice in Shropshire for 3 years before returning to Bristol for further training in soft-tissue surgery. She left Bristol in 1998 and ever since then has worked at Vale Vets where she is primarily responsible for surgery.
Away from work she seems to make a habit of falling off horses and skis, nothing seems to be broken yet! At the moment her collection of rescued animals include Blossum a three-legged cat and Tally a pedigree wire-haired black Labrador.
