Richard Bragg leads the team at the Portishead Centre and its satellite surgery at Pill. The team includes vets Dick and Rosie Best who established the Portishead practice in 1980. Dick is an internationally renowned expert on birds and offers this expertise to all Vale Vet clients together with clients referred from other practices across the south west.
The Portishead and Pill centre have their own dedicated team of vets and support staff so you will always see familiar faces when you visit. At Portishead we have well equipped operating theatres with X-ray, ultrasound and dental machines and an in-house laboratory run by a qualified lab technician. If necessary, pets can be hospitalised on-site with 24 hour nursing care, 365 days a year. All this is backed up by an even more impressive range of specialist vets and equipment at the main hospital in Dursley.
If an emergency happens out of hours, our Portishead vets are always on call. We don't share night work with other practices, so you will speak directly to one of the Portishead team who will know your pet's history.
The Portishead surgery offers a wide range of pet care products from quality food to accessories such as leads, toys and bowls.
At Pill we run a friendly, relaxed branch which allows locals the convenience of routine consultations with our regular vets without the need to travel to Portishead with their pets. The centre is linked to Portishead via computer, allowing all patient records to be available at whichever centre you choose to visit.
