John Adams

John studied at the University of the West of England; Hartpury College to gain his bachelor's degree (Hons) in animal science in 2015. During this time, John worked at Teckles Animal Sanctuary, caring for and rehabilitating homeless cats and dogs but mainly focusing on those with greater behavioural requirements. 

In September 2021, John joined Vale Vets and Referrals as a member of the night hospital assistant team before transitioning to the day team in July 2022. John started his student veterinary nurse training in September 2023. 

John’s main passion is canine behaviour and has attended several in-person and online courses focused on this subject. Since joining us, he has also developed a special interest in emergency and critical care, and surgical nursing.  

John loves the variety and challenging nature that can come with veterinary work, particularly when encountering emergencies. He also enjoys working with passionate individuals and learning from highly skilled members of the team.  

Outside of work, John enjoys walking/hiking and photography.
