Laura McGaughey

Laura graduated from the University of Bristol in 2017 and joined Vale Vets and Referrals as a referral nurse in 2021. 

Since joining us, Laura has gained her Level 2 award as a Mental Health First Responder and become a clinical coach, supporting student veterinary nurses through their training. Laura is also a strong advocate for infection control and became our IVC Infection Prevention and Control Ambassador. 

Whilst surgical nursing is Laura main passion, she loves the variety that veterinary nursing at Vale offers her, particularly working with a wide range of species across a variety of disciplines. 

In her spare time, Laura enjoys pursuing her hobbies of gardening, cooking, DIY projects and lots of dog walks and cuddles.
