Harriet Stanley

Harriet qualified as a veterinary nurse from Hartpury University in 2020 but continued her education for a further year to obtain her bachelor's degree. Hattie joined us at Vale Vets and Referrals as a student nurse in 2018 and later as a full time RVN in 2021. 

Hattie enjoys all aspects of nursing including anaesthesia, inpatient care and nursing clinics. She is very passionate about her nursing clinics, particularly with geriatric patients, their related diseases, palliation and end of life care. Hattie advocates for both the patient and client during euthanasia's, ensuring this process is compassionate and spends time supporting clients through their bereavement. 

Hattie loves being able to help clients help their pets. She gets great satisfaction by having an impact on patients’ recovery and seeing the difference it can make. She is motivated by her patients and seeing their strength reminds her why she loves her job during difficult times.  

In her spare time, Hattie enjoys craft activities such as crocheting or knitting. She also enjoys baking, wild swimming and walking her four dogs along the south coast. She can often be found on the beach or exploring new places.
