Veterinary Nursing Awareness Month - Lab Guru!
One of the many roles that a Veterinary Nurse plays in Practice is that of a Lab Technician. It is part of their training that they know their way around a laboratory as they will be required to run bloods tests, analyse microscope slides or test urine samples. Often the Nurse will also be involved in the sampling process too. This can involve taking blood from an animal, collecting a urine sample or performing a skin scrape/hair pluck.
Here is our Student Veterinary Nurse Abbie looking for the skin mite Demodex under the microscope!
We are fortunate at Vale Vets to have an amazing team of committed, talented and enthusiastic staff.
