Lisa Brady

Lisa joined Vale Vets and Referrals on a 9-month maternity cover in 2017 and is still with us 7 years later having graduated as a veterinary nurse in 2018. 

Lisa enjoys working within our internal medicine department, having a particular interest in endoscopy procedures and chemotherapy treatments. She is also a regular go-to for any technical questions we have about our CT scanner and has a soft spot for all things Labrador.

One of the main reasons why Lisa loves nursing is being able to help our patients when they can’t help themselves and taking care of them as much as she would love her own animals. Lisa also loves seeing how much owners love their pets and gets great joy from reuniting patients with their families. She enjoys giving the patients plenty of cwtches on her shifts and ensuring they have lots of yummy snacks.

Lisa is one of our first aiders and joined our mental health team as a mental health first aid responder. She is also part of the order team ensuring efficient stock ordering and rotation to ensure the smooth running of the practice. Lisa also recently completed her clinical coach training to help support and mentor student veterinary nurses.

In February 2024, Lisa joined the senior nursing team to develop her skills within leadership and support the team during some maternity leave. Lisa is looking forward to learning lots of new knowledge and skills that she can use to support the wider nursing team further.  

In her spare time, Lisa can be found visiting family in Ireland on their family farm with chickens, donkeys, goats, lambs, cats and a sausage dog! She also enjoys going to the gym and being the best dog aunty.
