Sophie Bone - Veterinary Nurse
Sophie Bone RVN Veterinary Nurse

Sophie began her veterinary career as a receptionist and part time veterinary care assistant in January 2016. After a couple of years, she undertook her student veterinary nurse training at Bridgwater and Taunton college, qualifying in October 2021 and continuing to work in 1st opinion practice.

Sophie joined Vale Vets and Referrals in October 2023 when her urge to explore more complex aspects of nursing got too much to ignore. Her current plans are to pursue further qualifications in canine behaviour and advanced anaesthesia.

As a nurse, Sophie loves all aspects of nursing and is a self-confessed geek who gets excited about everything. She loves the challenge of anaesthesia and helping fearful and anxious dogs. She finds the best part of being a veterinary nurse is the variation of cases as well as the ongoing improvement and development of the profession whilst working in an encouraging and positive team. When it comes to patients, she loves getting to know them and helps make their experience as stress-free and comfortable as possible.

When not at work, Sophie can be found chasing after her two children and two springer spaniels who team up to create chaos! She also has two snakes called Mowzel and Irwin and a collection of tarantulas. When outdoors, Sophie enjoys open water swimming.
